The opinion of the sommelier“ I really wanted to surprise you and to propose a vintage 2013, just after the end of harvests in France! This very young wine frees strong perfumes of citrus fruits that make us dreaming. Chenin blanc reveals in all its vivacity: it’s a very inebriant wine!"
TerroirWalker Bay is located to the southeast of Cape Town. It’s a mountainous wine-growing region that shows a rich difference is soil’s sediments: clay, schist, sandstone and granite. The draining soil allows humidity to circulate and help grapevines. Walker Bay’s wines are very popular due to the microclimate of the region influenced by its proximity with the ocean.
Grape VarietyOriginally from the Loire Valley, chenin blanc migrates to South Africa during the XVII century. There, steen, this is how locals call the chenin blanc, encountered an immediate great success. Today it’s the most planted white grape in the country (18000 hectares).
VintageAn exceptional year! Climate conditions in South Africa were more than favourable and they slowed down vines’ development. Grapes ripened slowly until the harvest in February that was excellent in terms of both quantity and quality.

Ce vin, encore très jeune, dégage de puissants parfums d’agrumes, qui font voyager. C’est le chenin blanc dans toute sa vivacité : un vin définitivement punchy !
